Climbing Berwick Law

 

This week's photo shows me taking a breather while climbing Berwick Law.

 

I've got to keep fit now that I'm a bombardier. The hill’s a popular place for the dogs from the town as there’s a giant bone on top.

 

The ceremony to mark the death of Bum the San Diego dog takes place this Wednesday. A similar ceremony will take place at the same time at Bum's statue in San Diego.

 

Bum guards the gates at West Princes Street Gardens. The ceremony will start at one o' clock after Shannon the Cannon fires the One o' Clock Gun.

I’ll be on parade at the ceremony along with Colour Sergeant Scott wearing my stripes for the first time. My mate Ian who took this week’s photo has baked a special cake for the event. Hope to see you on Wednesday
