Hope you enjoyed your Hogmanay

 

This is Blue’s mate Corrie speaking as the wee man's away on holiday up north. I live with Brian the chairman of the One o’ Clock Gun & Time Ball Association and his wife Stella in South Queensferry.

 

Blue reckons he needs the break as he’s got a lot of events to attend this year as it’s the 150th anniversary of the One o’ Clock Gun.

 

This year will be a good year for Greyfriars Bobby fans as there's a new book coming out telling the true facts about the world famous dog. 2011 is also the anniversary of the death of Beauty who is buried in Piershill Cemetery, Edinburgh.

 

Blue tells me that he’s been asked to lay a wreath on the famous dog’s grave in the summer. If you've got the time don't forget to come along to Greyfriars Kirk for Greyfriars Bobby Day on January 14th.

 

Isobel and Brian will be presenting the story of Greyfriars Bobby in the church where it all happened.
