Lapo who lives with Maria Furbelli

 

This week’s photograph show Lapo who lives with Maria Rosa Furbelli.

 

Maria who lives in Italy and loves to visit Scotland, has written a small book on Greyfriars Bobby.

 

When Maria was in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago she paid a visit to Colour Sergeant Scott’s grave in Piershill Cemetery and laid a flower as a tribute to the soldier who bought meals for Bobby.

 

The One o’ Clock Gun & Time Ball Association hope to have a plaque placed on the building where the Colour Sergeant stayed when he was stationed in Edinburgh. The building was later converted into ‘Greyfriars Bobby Bar’.
