Last week

 

Last week I told you about Matt Gibbons and Rob Gibbs who set off from John o’ Groats to raise money for charity.

 

On the third day of the tour, Matt fell off his bike and grazed his leg. It seemed to be OK apart from being bruised, so the lads kept going but it was not long before Matt’s leg began to get worse.

 

Just outside Stirling Matt took some pain killers, but on reaching the bottom of a hill he found he couldn’t bend his leg or put any weight on it. Despite the setback, the North Berwick bikers have raised  over £900 for charity and will be setting off again next summer to complete the epic trip.

 

I can appreciate how Matt felt as I had trouble with my back leg a couple of years ago but it's working fine now.

 

Maria Furbelli who will be visiting Scotland next month sent over this week's beautiful piece of artwork showing that Autumn has arrived and the nights are drawing in.
