I'm not long back from holiday with Kit and John. We went up to Banff for a week. While we were taking a walk through the town I spotted a cannon standing outside the Townhouse. It looked like the one I fire to open the Association's events, so I thought I'd have a go at firing it. Unfortunately as you can see from the photo, Kit had other ideas.

 

The ceremony to unveil the plaque commemorating the man who designed the clock which fired the One o'Clock Gun will be unveiled on Monday, 7th June. John and Gavin will be fixing the plaque to the outside of Frederick James Ritchie's house at 6 Brunton Place, Edinburgh on the morning of the ceremony.

 

Hope you can come along as I’ll be coming up from North Berwick with my gun at one o' clock. The collection box for the Greyfriars Bobby Childrens Painting Competition entries is now at the Central Children’s Library, George IV Bridge, Edinburgh. Don't forget your artwork has to be in by September 11th.
