The ‘Evening News’ and the ‘East Lothian Courier’ featured the Robert Louis Stevenson project, so we’re keeping our paws crossed that it won’t be long till donations start coming in to set the statue up.
The Long John Silver Trust down at Bristol is running a similar project to set up a statue of the sailor wi' the widden leg and the parrot in the port. The Trust have a first class website which is worth checking out if you're a Robert Louis Stevenson fan: www.longjohnsilvertrust.co.uk
